Cotgrave town centre update exhibition

18 August 2016

An exhibition will be held in Cotgrave Library starting on Friday 19 August to give an update of the Cotgrave regeneration project to local residents. It will remain for at least a week.

The exhibition will feature the latest information about the phasing of the project, the proposals and the materials being used and follows on from previous feasibility studies and public consultations held by the council. A team has now been assembled to design and deliver detailed proposals for both the town centre regeneration and the new Multi-Service Centre building (MSC). The town centre scheme will include refurbishment of the retail units, a new public realm and the creation of a new Business Hub. The MSC building will include a new Medical Centre, Library, Police Station and Town Council Offices.

Two separate planning applications will be submitted on W/C 22 August, one for the refurbishment of the retail units and public realm area, the other for the new MSC building. These will be consulted on through the normal planning process and once registered further details will be available on the Rushcliffe Borough Council planning website. Residents will be able to comment on the plans once they have been submitted.

Local residents are encouraged to attend the exhibition, which is free and doesn't require advanced bookings.
