Bird flu guidance December 2016

Nottinghamshire businesses, schools and residents in possession of poultry and captive birds are being told to keep these birds indoors where possible to reduce the risk of avian influenza.

England has been declared a ‘prevention zone’ by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) until 6 January 2017 due to a specific strain of avian influenza affecting parts of Europe. Read more about those affected and what to do on the Notts County Council website
