Council tax bills go paperless

7 March 2017

You may already know that you can view your council tax account online. And your electronic options are increasing because you also now opt out of paper bills altogether by registering for our e-billing service.

Like many of your other service providers, gas, water, electric and TV license, you will get an email every time we make a change to your bill instead of getting a letter through the post.  You can view a breakdown of your account and payments, as well as being able to print the bills yourself if you want to.

Signing up is quick and easy - you need an online account, so register online here.  at www.rushcliffe.gov.uk/ebilling

You will need to have your council tax reference number to hand (this starts with a 3 or a 4 and is 8 digits long) and you will be asked security questions to ensure the account is yours.  Once you have signed up, you can request the e-billing service - it should only take 5 minutes. Any problems, give us a call on 0115 981 9911.

If you already have an online account with us and want to receive your bills electronically, go to the My Services tab after logging in and cancel your paper bill.

If you still want your paper bill, that’s fine, we are not planning to take away the service, just providing our residents with more choices.

Instructions on how to register can be found here‌.
