Free road safety event in West Bridgford

Road users and motorists can get advice and support at a free road safety event tomorrow (July 5) in West Bridgford.

Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Community Safety team, Nottinghamshire Police and Nottinghamshire Fire Service will host the event on Thursday 5 July on the Croquet Lawn, Central Avenue.

On the day an array of activities on display ranging from crashed car scenario, a speed camera and how it works and alcohol breathalyser demonstrations.

Motorists can also get advice on how to keep safe on the road and learn more about the ‘fatal four’ that is drinking alcohol before driving, speeding, using a mobile phone at the wheel and not wearing seat belts.

Cyclists will also be able to get their bikes security marked to permanently mark the bike with their postcode and will be able to swap any old lock for a stronger D-lock.
