ICT Services Support Manager
To manage and develop our ICT service delivery
Salary: Up to £38,766 per annum 37 hrs

We are seeking an experienced ICT professional to join our ICT Services team to manage and develop our ICT service delivery. Reporting to the ICT Manager you will be responsible for the day to day management of ICT service delivery to the business with a focus on customer service. The challenge facing the applicant is to work with the technical team to deliver services across a wide range of business areas supporting a diverse array of applications common to Local Government. Security and standards are key as is the drive to deliver economic, efficient and effective solutions for our customers.
You will have a broad range of high level interpersonal skills, being able to communicate effectively both in and outside the organisation having proven experience of creating and maintaining customer relationships. You will have a wide range of experience in managing all aspects of an ICT service with a focus on ITIL compliant service desks processes. To succeed in this role you must have excellent diagnostic skills and an advanced technical understanding of security, server and network technologies in a modern IT datacentre, in order to deliver continuous improvement by building on an existing successful platform.
You will ideally be educated to degree level, though other relevant qualifications plus experience would be acceptable. You will be able to demonstrate a minimum of one years’ experience how you have managed a team of technical specialists to deliver ICT services. You will be able to demonstrate that you have delivered highly technical projects both tactical and strategic in nature.
A cheerful, flexible and strongly customer focused approach that consistently demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude is required; with the ability to communicate clearly with customers in a language they understand is essential.
