Response
- Do you have a standard parking bay size which is in place across your car parks?
Parking bay sizes average between 2.4 -2.5 metres in width and between 5 – 6 metres in length depending on the age of the car park in accordance with the national average. Apart from disabled parking blue badge bays which all meet the national regulations in width, length and hatched areas.
- For Q1, Are there plans to enlarge the standard parking bay size in car parks?
There is no intention at this point to alter the current sizing of parking bays, however when new car parks are constructed or existing car parks are altered parking bays are increased to the maximum permitted to ensure appropriate space utilisation.
