Response

  1. Does your authority have an electric vehicle charging transition strategy (or equivalent)?
    • Rushcliffe Borough Council has a Carbon Management Action Plan 2020, which includes the role of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and encouraging the use of zero emission vehicles as part of the strategy.

  2. Have you published this strategy? If so, please provide a link to or copy of the document.
  3. How many public electric vehicle chargers have been installed within your authority’s jurisdiction?
    • If the person is referring to the number available in the Borough, despite whether they are on Council-owned land or not – total in the Borough – this information is in the public domain on zap map. The person can look and see where they are and count how many of the different types: Map of charging points for electric car drivers in UK: Zap-Map

  4. How many electric vehicle chargers have been installed within your authority’s jurisdiction in each of the last three years (2019, 2020, 2021)?
    • If the person is referring to the number installed in the Borough, despite whether they are on Council-owned land or not – across of each of these 3 years – we do not hold that information.

    • If the person is referring to how many the Council has put in on Council-owned property = 2018 = 0, 2019 = 4, 2020 = 0, 2021 = 17

  5. How many electric vehicle chargers do you intend to be installed within your authority’s jurisdiction in each of the next three years (2022, 2023, 2024)?
    • On council-owned property: 2022 - between a further 9 to 13 charge points. Plans for beyond 2022 are currently being looked at.
