There have been no real costs (£) to the Council. The promotion of the campaign has used staff time and mostly whilst combining with another initiative involving the hospitality venues, i.e. evening economy events/patrols with our partners, the police. There have been the costs of paper and printing the poster issued by the police, laminating of approximately 100 copies – these cost would be nominal, (less than £20)

- It is a straight forward campaign – no training just guidance. No costs.
- I also request a breakdown of how the campaign is being implemented from 2016 - June 2024.

Rushcliffe Borough Council began promoting the campaign at our monthly pub watch meetings when it started in 2016. In December 2023 we visited and briefed our hospitality venues in West Bridgford (the busiest night time economy in Rushcliffe). After briefing, posters were fixed in ladies toilets and given for display behind the bar areas. This was followed up by the release of social media posting and details of the scheme also appear on our website. The bars in the area were revisited in June 2024 to test the scheme, with a member of staff from Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) posing as a customer -asking to speak to Angela. The outcome was very positive. All posters were swapped with the updated version.

- I also request a breakdown of how staff members are being trained under the campaign from 2016 - June 2024.
-
No staff members are being trained at RBC, guidelines on website and on the poster - on our visits to the venues we are briefing hospitality staff.
-
- I also request access to any training documents or literature from the campaign from 2016 - June 2024.
- No training documents, we are merely promoting the campaign. There is not a requirement to offer any kind of counselling service.
- I also request a breakdown of the budget plans of the campaign for 2025.
-
There is no separate budget (£) for the campaign, any costs incurred will come from the Police Crime and Commissioners funding allocated to RBC.
-
- I also request how many local council reports have mentioned ‘Ask for Angela’ in the last year and since the campaign started in 2016.
- We are unable to carry out a search for anything specific in our reports. At a licensing committee meeting in October 2023 the campaign was mentioned and this was documented in the report for that meeting.
