Request
- Do your councillors get a discretionary allowance to spend on training individually as they choose?
- How much is this amount annually?
- How many councillors are on your council?
- How many have used their discretionary allowance?
- How much have they spent and on what service, training, activity or otherwise?
Response
Our councillors do not get a discretionary personal allowance to spend on training. They can request training from a pot that services all councillors training needs including training that is planned and organised by officers. The value of this joint pot changes dependant on which year of the electoral cycle we are in. This financial year it is £5,000. Rushcliffe has 44 councillors.
