Response

- All council owned and managed building's currently benefit from green tariffs to offset our energy use. At Rushcliffe Country Park we currently use a bio-mass boiler for heating, but as this is coming to the end of its life, we are planning to replace it with an air-source heat pump. We will also be installing solar panels to the visitor’s centre roof this year. A solar array has been installed at a car park in Gamston. Of our other buildings, energy audits are being performed this year to assess which sites will benefit most from renewable energy as well as energy saving measures and a plan to install them will follow.

- Staff who live in the borough are encouraged to join the council’s Green Rewards scheme for local residents. There is no formal travel scheme however Smart working is encouraged to reduce travel.

- Our supplier is EDF. All tariffs for our own energy use are on green tariff.
