I would be very grateful if you could supply me with the contact details for the people who, on behalf of Rushcliffe Council, are involved with the resettlement of newcomers to the United Kingdom, including refugees and asylum seekers.

Response

The county council has a statutory duty to resettle newcomers (asylum seekers/refuges) and not the district borough. If a positive decision is given on an asylum application and the individual is the eligible and has recourse to public funds the district LA would assist with housing. Where this is the case the manager at Rushcliffe Borough Council is Donna Dwyer, Strategic Housing Manager ddwyer@rushcliffe.gov.uk. Any other enquiries should be directed to Nottinghamshire County Council.
