Response

  1. Current Working Arrangements: Could you please provide details on the current working arrangements for council employees? Specifically, I am interested in the proportion of staff working:
    1. Fully remotely - 0%
    2. Fully in-office - 3%
    3. On a hybrid basis (part remote, part in-office) - 97%
  2. Hybrid/Home Working Policy: If applicable, could you share a copy of the council's policy or guidelines on hybrid and/or home working, including any updates or changes made since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
    • All contracts of employment have a named site as the work place, we do not issue hybrid contracts
    • There is a requirement for staff to be in the office at least 2 days a week
    • Before COVID staff could choose to work one a day week from home if requested, now most staff choose to work 3 days a week from home
    • The business needs are the priority when considering working at home
  3. Any job roles where working from home or hybrid working is not permitted.

Roles that can not be delivered from home and are not normally delivered from the office environment e.g.

    • refuse collection,
    • drivers,
    • community facilities staff,
    • cleaners,
    • park based staff,
    • ground maintenance,
    • cleansing staff
