Response

  1. How many days of paid and/or unpaid leave per year can staff who are carers take?

Our Carer's Leave policy states that carers can take a weeks leave unpaid every 12 months.

All employees can take paid leave in line with our Dependants policy. Number of days is not stipulated - reasonable amount of time off in the circumstances. No limit on the number of times as employee can be absent from work under this right has been set.

  2. When were the last changes made to the hours/days registered carers can take and what change was made?

The Carer's Leave Policy was implemented in April 2024 to enable up to 1 week unpaid leave for Carers

The paid dependants leave has been in place for many years for all employees and has not changed, as the number of hours/days has never been fixed.

  3. Is your organisation a Carer Confident employer?

    Yes

  4. How many staff members are registered carers in your organisation?

16 staff have come forward as identifying themselves as unpaid carers.

    Unpaid carers leave.

2023 - none

Paid dependants leave - Details not known as dependant leave taken does not show if this is due to being an unpaid carer or other situation.
