Request
I would like to request information on your taxi licensing department as well as your alcohol/general licensing department please,
in terms of Taxi's. Could I request a structure chart of your staffing for the department? As well as the current grades/pay that they are earning per year, and what fees you charge for taxi licenses for Hackneys and private hire over a year license or a 3 year license.
How long does it take to process each license application?
Can you apply using paper applications/online or via an app?
How many driver/vehicle and operator licences are currently registered?
How frequently are Taxi's MOT'd and is the requirement to have an enhanced MOT?

Can you apply using paper applications/online or via an app? Yes to paper and via online pdf although in person visit is required where Knowledge test is needed. No current app applications.
How many driver/vehicle and operator licences are currently registered? See spreadsheet with information requested.
How frequently are Taxi's MOT'd and is the requirement to have an enhanced MOT?
HC/PH Vehicles are required to have a current MOT certificate together with an enhanced vehicle examination.
PH vehicles no more than 5 years of age from date of first registration or manufacture will be tested annually, and bi-annually for vehicles over 5 years of age, vehicles over 12 years of age will not normally be licensed.
HC vehicles no more than 7 years of age from date of first registration or manufacture will be tested annually, and bi-annually for vehicles over 7 years of age, vehicles over 14 years of age will not be licensed.
