1. What software you are using to manage grounds maintenance?
2. What software you are using for your tree management?
3. What software you are using to manage playground areas and equipment?

For each of the above please can you provide the following details:

Grounds Maintenance

What is the annual spend on this contract?

What are the start date & duration of the contract?

Is there an extension clause in the contract and, if so, the duration of the extension?

Has a decision been made yet on whether the contract is being either extended or renewed?

Response

Rushcliffe Borough Council had a grounds maintenance and tree works contract with Streetwise Environmental Limited which started in 1 September 2014 and ended on 31 August 2022. Streetwise Environmental Limited was a Teckal company wholly owned by the Council and at the end of the company and contract term, Streetwise has now been in-sourced to continue as a Council department providing these services. At present, the Council does not have any grounds maintenance or tree work contracts. Other information as requested:

1. What software you are using to manage grounds maintenance? No software.
2. What software you are using for your tree management? Ezytreev.
3. Grounds Maintenance – Council spend 2021-22 was £584,500.
4. Tree Maintenance – Council spend 2021-22 was £ 54,000.
5. Who is the senior officer (outside of procurement) responsible for the ground maintenance service? Service Manager: Neighbourhoods.
6. Who is the senior officer responsible for the tree service? Senior Design and Landscape Officer.

Playground maintenance

1. What software you are using to manage playground areas and equipment? We have just started using PSSlive for recording all playground equipment and repairs. (Training still ongoing )
2. What is the annual spend on this contract? We have a yearly budget of £25000 for repairs on all our play areas and parks.
3. What are the start date & duration of the contract? Every May from the start of the financial year.
4. Is there an extension clause in the contract and, if so, the duration of the extension? Rolling in house contract.
5. Has a decision been made yet on whether the contract is being either extended or renewed? Rolling contract.
6. Who is the senior officer (outside of procurement) responsible for this contract? Facilities manager.
