Response
From 1 September 2020 All Class A uses, as well as several uses previously falling within other lettered classes, were replaced by the new Class E – as such the answer is “zero” in respect of all of the above categories and years.
Planning application fees are set nationally by central government via the ‘Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications, Deemed Applications, Requests and Site Visits) (England) Regulations 2012’ (as amended), including the latest amendments which came into force on 6 December 2023.
A table of fees is publicly available via the national ‘Planning Portal’ website.
Individual local planning authorities have no discretion to waive, reduce or increase fees other than as set out in the specific and limited section on reductions and exemptions set out within the Regulations.
