In accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, please can you provide the following information:

For 2019 and 2020, we would appreciate a list of all the new properties constructed within the local authority. Please can the UPRN be attached to each address.

Response

We are unable to provide this information (list of New Properties Built in 2019/20 with addresses and UPRNs). We have consulted Geoplace about this request and it has requested that the information not be disclosed, on the basis of section 21 (information accessible via other means) and section 43 (commercial interests).

In relation to section 21, it is the view of GeoPlace and Ordnance Survey that the information is available via Ordnance Survey or its licensed partners in AddressBase products. Section 21(2) provides that information may be reasonably accessible even if payment is required for access to it. Section 21 is an absolute exemption, and so doesn't require a public interest test to be undertaken.

In relation to section 43, it is The view of Geoplace and Ordnance Survey that release of this information would prejudice the commercial interests of both GeoPlace and Ordnance Survey.
