Under the Freedom of Information Act, please provide me with the following:

Location - public car park, service road at the junction of Newgate Street, Bingham NG138FB.

• Road Repair policy;
• Inspection history pertaining to the service road;
• Repair history of the pot hole, situated on the service road, near to the junction of Newgate Street.

Response

1. We do not have a formal road repair policy. All RBC assets are visually inspected by our Property Inspector and any defects found are assessed and repaired as necessary. We also respond reactively to any defects that are reported to us.
2. We do not have an inspection history for the access road.
3. We were notified of the defect in the surface of the access road on 01.05.2023 by a local resident/user of the car park. We commissioned a contractor to affect a repair to the defect and this was carried out on 04.05.2023. Unfortunately, this repair appeared to fail and we received a follow up report on 14.09.2023. Our Property Inspector visited on 15.09.2023 and again assessed the defect. They alerted our contractor to the failed defect and a further repair was carried out 24.09.2023.
