Response

1. The number of staff (FTEs) involved in the delivery of the Grounds Maintenance service and a list of their roles.

We have 14 staff members involved in the delivery of the Grounds Maintenance service.

Green Space Operative:
• Deliver a service to the highest possible standard in the borough
• Adhere to, and be responsible for the H&S standards set by Rushcliffe Borough Council
• Embrace the Rushcliffe Borough Council Values
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment to the standard expected
• Taking ownership of the areas, you are responsible for; this may include reporting any problems
• Maintain a professional and polite attitude to the public
• General maintenance of areas to include both cut and collect and drop using both ride -on and pedestrian machinery
• Undertake horticultural operations, hedge trimming, shrub bed maintenance and planting, strimming and blowing, hard surface maintenance, tree maintenance, chemical application, garden clearance and general landscape works
• Use a range of tools and equipment, including power tools and light plant
• Drive company vehicles/tow trailers as required
• Communicate effectively with all staff members and your manager
• To wear the correct PPE and uniform while at work
• To ensure that machinery and tools are looked after and minimise damage
• That the work equipment used is fit for purpose
• Machine maintenance and security
• Watering
• Repair the playground equipment, install benches, install fences
• Jet washing of the pavements
• Removal of the graffiti

We use 11 vehicles to deliver of Ground Maintenance Service.

Ride on mowers, hedge cutters, blowers, loppers, chainsaw, push mowers, rakes, shuffle, spades, secateurs, trowels, ork, hoe, tractor, pruners, wheelbarrows, gloves, water cans, bowser, scarifier, verti-drain, overseeder, Avant, forklift, flail, Trimax, rotavator, knapsack, drills, concrete mixer, jet washer.

4. The number and size (in square feet) of any depot premises used in the delivery of the Grounds Maintenance Service.

I am unable to release the information requested as the information is exempt by virtue of section 43(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The Council is therefore issuing a Refusal Notice in accordance with section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act.

£167,500.
