Revenues Officer

Salary: £24,132 - £28,275 per annum (pro rata for part time)

Closing Date: Sunday 2nd February 2025

Hours: 30 hours per week

Permanent (part time) contract

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated individual to join our Revenues Team and provide a first class service to our customers.

This high performing team is responsible for the administration and collection of Council Tax and Business Rates.

Your duties will include

  • Ensuring that customer accounts are maintained accurately, including making decisions on eligibility for discounts and reductions.
  • Communicate with customers in writing and over the telephone.
  • Decision making concerning the recovery of overdue amounts.

You will have experience of and dealing with members of the public, working in an office environment and making decisions on Council Tax and Business Rates liabilities. A working knowledge of legislation including Council Tax or Business Rates would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

We need someone who can display high levels of customer care, work as an effective member of a team, showing initiative and producing quality, accurate work.
