Properties in Rural Areas
Rural rate relief may be granted to the following if you qualify:
- village shops
- post offices
- pubs
- petrol filling stations
The property must be within areas that are home to less than 3,000 people (see list of settlements below). From 1 April 2010 the rateable value limits to qualify have increased. The application criteria and rateable value limits are set out on the application form.
