Phone us

You can telephone the Council on 0115 981 9911 during opening hours. We aim to answer calls within 60 seconds but at busy times this may not be possible.

You can contact our advisors over the phone during the following hours:

  • Monday 8.30am to 5pm
  • Tuesday 8.30am to 5pm
  • Wednesday 8.30am to 5pm
  • Thursday 8.30am to 5pm
  • Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

We have a 24 hour telephone payments hotline - 0115 914 8533.

You can use this to pay for council tax, business rates, hire of facilities, rental of home alarms, pest control treatments, waste collection and rents for business premises, septic tank and cesspool emptying.

We accept Visa Delta, Solo, Visa, Mastercard and Maestro.

In the event of an emergency such as flooding contact us on our emergency hotline - 0115 981 1143.

For planning enquiries: A duty planner is available to answer enquiries over the phone during opening hours.

We aim to see customers within 10 minutes of arrival, but this may not be possible at busy times. Face to face meetings can be arranged by appointment where necessary. If advice is sought on a specific development proposal, a formal process is in place to provide pre-application advice, this is a chargeable service, with some exceptions.

For housing enquiries: Housing advisors are available at the Rushcliffe Customer Service Centre for face to face housing enquiries during opening hours.
