Decision
That payment in the sum of £30,745 be paid to Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) for the provision of a Landlord Liaison Service for the South of Nottinghamshire with each partner making an equal contribution of grant (Broxtowe BC, Gedling BC, Rushcliffe BC).
Reasons for decision
An urgent decision was required on the continuation of the existing Landlord Liaison Service prior to 1.4.23.
Homelessness Prevention Grant (HPG)) identified and committed for 2023-24.
RBC is acting as the lead LA for (BBC/GBC/BBC).
Alternative options considered and rejected
Seek competitive tenders:
Homeless Prevention Fund (HPG) has been allocated on an annual basis. Uncertainty with the availability of HPG due to the impact of the Homes For Ukraine Scheme has prevented seeking interest from other suppliers capable of offering a comparable comprehensive service.
Ongoing difficulties in providers recruiting to specialist support roles in this sector has had a significant impact of the provision of similar support services.
Retention of existing member of staff who has expertise in this area and has achieved successful outcomes.
