Decision
To amend the Council’s Contract Standing Orders to ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 with effect from 24 February 2025.
Reasons for decision
The Procurement Act 2023 took effect in England from 24 February 2025 and amendments were required to the Contract Standing Orders to ensure compliance with the legislation.
Alternative options considered and rejected
The Contract Standing Orders have been updated to reflect changes required to comply with changes in legislation. Failure to update the Contract Standings Orders would mean that the Council’s procedures governing procurement activities would not be compliant with legislation.
