Car parking charges change from May 1
Last updated: 4/4/2024Following Budget approval last month there will be a change in car parking charges from May 1 2024 at Bridgford Road, Nursery and Gordon Road in West Bridgford and at Rushcliffe Country Park.
The majority of motorists who use our car parks for two hour stays or less in West Bridgford will see a small 20p increase in parking charges.
The increase at Rushcliffe Country Park, removes the £1 day rate and introduces a charge of £1.50 for up to three hours, and £3 for over three hours.
This is the first increase in seven years and the Council has sustained the increase in costs in operating car parks for a considerable period. The new tariffs are still competitive when compared with other busy towns and cities in the region.
Any charges at car parks are re-invested back into facilities that ensure they are safe and attractive with maintenance on lighting, resurfacing, ticket machines and improvements such as the highly popular RingGo service and electric charging points.
As part of this ongoing investment this means the majority of car parks are also regularly awarded the Safer Car Park accreditation.
