Half term Halloween Spooktacular event takes place in West Bridgford on October 31
Last updated: 1/10/2024Families and individuals across Rushcliffe can enjoy a Spooktacular Halloween event with a variety of free activities on Thursday October 31 at the Croquet Lawn in West Bridgford.
Rushcliffe Borough Council’s (RBC) free event, supported by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), takes place in the town from 11am to 4pm and will welcome Halloween-themed entertainment, crafts and other activities for the little ones to enjoy.
Event activities include:
Games, music and storytelling - Super Sparkle entertainment and their not so spooky crew will be performing the interactive programme of games, music, storytelling and magic! Shows will commence at 11.30pm, 1pm and 2.30pm.
Crazy golf – Tee up for a spooktacular round of crazy golf that’s fun for the whole family. The Crazy Golf company will be on the croquet lawn throughout the day, promising frightfully-fun mini golf for all to enjoy.
Vegetable crafts - Children can make their own Halloween-themed animal creations made from vegetables at a Veggie Critters workshop running throughout the day.
Joker Entertainment is delivering the environmentally friendly workshop for all ages and will guide participants through how to make their cute or spooky vegetable critters.
Potion making - The Botanist West Bridgford will also be there from 11am to 1pm and 1.45pm to 4pm to help your little witches and wizards brew up some spooktacular potions and ‘ghostly’ crafts to try!
Face painting – From 11am to 4pm, children can transform into their favourite Halloween character whether it scary skeleton, or cute pumpkin, with East Midlands Face Painters Ltd turning their spooky vision to life!
Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Deputy Leader Cllr Abby Brennan said: “This Halloween, we’re excited to host a free spooktacular event in West Bridgford providing some great entertainment for families over the half term including crazy golf, potion making, music, storytelling and more!
“Halloween is increasingly becoming a popular celebration, and this event is a great opportunity to bring everyone together for some fun with plenty to keep the little ones entertained!
“This event is funded by UKSPF and is another great example of an impactful project, enhancing our communities and places.
“I encourage everyone to come down to the croquet lawn in West Bridgford on October 31 for the event and get into the spooky spirit!”
