Have your say on the Greater Nottingham Strategic Plan

Last updated: 26/11/2024

Residents are invited to have their say on the Greater Nottingham Strategic Plan, which sets out future development proposals over the next 18 years.

Rushcliffe Borough Council has worked in partnership with Gedling Borough Council, Broxtowe Borough Council and Nottingham City Council to ensure all planning policies covering the Greater Nottingham area are consistent and complementary.

The Plan will guide growth up to 2041 and sets out how the Councils intend to address issues such as the number and location of new homes required for a growing population, providing new jobs and infrastructure, tackling climate change, and protecting and enhancing the area’s heritage, open spaces and biodiversity, in a way that minimises the impact on the environment.

Residents, businesses and other organisations can make comments on the soundness and legal compliance of the Plan in line with Government guidance. Views can be submitted online by Monday December 16 on the Greater Nottingham Strategic Plan website.
