RBC to relocate Customer Service Centre to West Bridgford Library from August 29

Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) is relocating its current Customer Service Centre on Gordon Road in West Bridgford to the town’s library from Thursday August 29 to deliver an even better value for money service.
The authority will now work in partnership with Inspire who operate the library on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council and will see no changes to existing library services.
Residents will also see no change to the days of existing face to face access to Customer Services on Mondays and Thursdays from 9am to 5pm and Fridays 9am to 4.30pm at the newly named West Bridgford Customer Contact Point.
Sharing a space at the library on Bridgford Road will realise savings and benefits for both parties whilst maintaining good local access to the RBC service with the site adjacent to local car parks and bus routes.
There are no plans to change other existing Customer Contact Points at Cotgrave Hub, East Leake Library and Bingham Medical Centre.
The existing Gordon Road office will close on Friday August 16 and customers can still access face to face services at the other contact points before the library site opens. See the Council's website for days and opening times.

“We are committed to continuing our fantastic face to face town centre presence in West Bridgford, Cotgrave, East Leake and Bingham. We know how important this service is to supporting residents alongside our online and phone service.
“It means we can continue to support some of the most vulnerable in our community when they need to see someone in person. Our digital services continue to develop but we’re committed to convenience for those who need to see us, aware of the complexities of some enquiries.
“The move will also free up the unit on Gordon Road for new enterprise to move in and complement the fantastic array of businesses thriving in central West Bridgford.
“Public sector partners working together in this way saves money that can be invested in services whilst maintaining existing standards and accessibility.”
