Residents seeking new qualifications and skills can access free employment support
Last updated: 24/4/2024Residents in Rushcliffe seeking to improve their skillset, gain new qualifications and explore new job opportunities can access a variety of free employment support through a new programme.
Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) allocated funding from its Shared Prosperity Funding from the UK Government (UKSPF) to the Transform Your Future programme delivered by Futures.
Throughout the programme, the Futures team will be on hand to provide anyone who is economically inactive with information and advice offering a range of tailored support on:
- Job searching
- Accessing learning to complete courses and gain qualifications
- Accessing the benefits system
- Developing life skills such as confidence, motivation, digital skills, and more.

RBC’s Director Development & Economic Growth Leanne Ashmore said: “We’re excited to be working in partnership with Futures to deliver this important project, helping residents to take their first steps on a new employment journey.
“Using our allocation of UKSPF, we’ve also developed a variety of initiatives that offer a wide range of employment and skills support including our Rushcliffe Internship Programme, Start South Notts Employment Platform, Skills Development Fund, Learn with Rushcliffe, Low Carbon Bursary and many more.

Futures Careers Coach Carol Bradshaw added: “I'm really excited to be working with Rushcliffe Borough Council on this new programme. Through Transform Your Future, the Rushcliffe community will be able to engage with free support to improve their life chances.
