Rushcliffe businesses invited to apply for grants of up to £40k through UKSPF and REPF

Last updated: 8/4/2025

Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) is inviting local businesses to apply for grants of up to £40,000 from its allocation of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF), aimed at boosting economic growth and enhancing the Borough.

Grants between £1,000 and £40,000 are available to support projects that align with one of the following priorities:

  • Development of the visitor economy: creation and expansion of high street, leisure and tourism businesses.

  • Business sites and premises: including grants to support improving energy efficiency and decarbonisation and visible improvements to premises.

  • Supporting growing businesses: including support for new to the firm technologies or processes, engaging in new markets, innovation, improved productivity and growing micro and small enterprises and the social economy in rural areas.

This round of funding is open for applications until April 30, 2025. Projects must be delivered within Rushcliffe and funding must be spent between June 30 2025 and March 31 2026.

There is a requirement for match funding and further details on this can be found in the grant guidance. To learn more and arrange a pre-application discussion visit the RBC website.

Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Head of Economic Growth & Property Catherine Evans said: “We are delighted to offer further support for businesses through our UKSPF and REPF 2025/26 grant programme.

“With grants of up to £40,000 available, this is a fantastic opportunity to access support to help businesses grow, innovate and boost our local economy.

“We encourage all eligible businesses to take advantage of this funding opportunity and talk to our Economic Growth Team to discuss their ideas and apply.”

In last year’s round of funding, RBC granted over £10,000 of REPF towards a project at Harker’s Farm Shop in Clipston on the Wolds, who also provided £16,000 of match funding to transform part of the shop into a bakery, producing new products to sell including homemade pies, sausage rolls, pasties, cooked meats and more.

The new oven and kitchen area has enabled the business to grow by increasing the number of products available to customers and producing high-quality inhouse products for consumers to enjoy.

Harker’s Farm Shop Manager Tracy Harker added: “We are always looking for ways to improve our farm shop and an inhouse kitchen and bakery has been on the wish list for a while.

“With the support of RBC and the REPF grant our plans have materialised a lot sooner than we could have hoped for. We are already producing lots of new and exciting products including our delicious pork pies, sausage rolls, pasties and lots more for our deli counter.”
