Shortlisted nominees announced for the Celebrating Rushcliffe Awards with Parkwood Leisure

The awards celebrate the Borough’s wonderful volunteers, businesses and environmentalists, clubs, organisations, and the best of its health and wellbeing and food and drink sectors and local enterprise.
Rushcliffe Borough Council is delighted to welcome Parkwood Leisure as lead sponsors for the awards which will take place at Rushcliffe Arena in West Bridgford on Thursday November 21.
Parkwood Leisure work with 31 local authorities across the country, running leisure facilities, golf courses, theatres, outdoor activity centres and country parks.
Over 30 groups and individuals have been shortlisted for this year’s accolades following an incredible response and hundreds putting forward their local heroes.
Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Deputy Leader Cllr Abby Brennan said: “It’s that time of year again where we highlight and celebrate people all over the Borough who are contributing to Rushcliffe life in so many wonderful ways or leading by example in their chosen field.
“Congratulations to all our shortlisted nominees, we really look forward to meeting these local heroes at the awards evening, hearing their stories and celebrating their achievements.
“We received a record number of nominations this year and the judging panel have had an exceptionally difficult job narrowing down those who have been shortlisted.
“Thank you to everyone who nominated a group, business or individual this year and took the time to put forward their community hero in Rushcliffe.”
