Disruption to Services
Disruption is sometimes unavoidable
Although we always try to keep disruption to an absolute minimum. However, there are occasions when some things outside our control (for example severe weather) can affect the services we provide.
We will do our utmost to inform people of any potential disruption. However, if you have any queries or concerns about a service you receive, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Severe weather
The Met Office’s National Severe Weather Warning Service (NSWWS) provides warnings of hazardous weather conditions.
The Environment Agency publishes a summary of flood warnings and river levels. Residents and businesses at risk of fluvial flooding are encouraged to register for flood warnings. For further information on flooding, please refer to our frequently asked questions.
Seasonal driving advice is available from the AA and RAC. A map of gritting routes is available on the Nottinghamshire County Council website.
Advice on animal welfare during severe weather is available from the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (Defra).
Transport
Information on disruption to the highway network is published on the Nottingham Travelwise website. Updates are also available via the BBC, Nottinghamshire County Council and the Highways England.
